Home Court 24, the 24th annual basketball game between Georgetown law professors and U.S. Senators/ Representatives that raises money for the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, was a smashing success! The event, which took place on March 30, 2011, raised over $415,000 for the organization – breaking the record for the most money ever raised through Home Court. These funds ensure that the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless can continue our excellent work to end the unnecessary suffering caused by poverty and advocate for justice for people who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless in Washington, DC.
The final score was Hoya Lawyas 49, Hill’s Angels 61. Noteworthy members of the Hills Angels included special guests Reggie Love and Arne Duncan. Learn more about the game here.
