Overview
While much of the work of the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless occurs in response to threats of harm against people experiencing housing, economic, and racial injustice in D.C., we are committed to engaging in systemic advocacy that addresses the fundamental issues and impacts of housing unaffordability, discrimination, racial injustice, and lack of local resources on efforts to ending homelessness.
We work towards achieving racial and economic injustice in D.C. by improving funding, policies, laws, and regulations that govern agencies and programs that impact our client community.
We build power with and for D.C. residents experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, and poverty.
